EVENT RULES & SCORING
While war is ultimately a bloody, uncivilized engagement, it is not without rules to be abided by- and while you may not know your ultimate fate of victory or defeat until it is too late, the rules of conduct becoming of a general are much more clear.

Our standard three-round tournaments will award up to 40pts per round towards your battle score; painting scores range from 0-90 as per the scoring rubric. Sportsmanship and Lore (both of which are rated by the other players at the event) are worth 10pts and 30pts, respectively, for a grand total of up to 250pts available.

We award trophies to the Best Overall, Best General, Best Painted, and Best Lore. All players at the event receive one of our entry prizes printed by Vreda Forge, and additional prize support provided by our sponsors will be raffled off to the general player pool.

Please note that some Razor Valley events may have additional rules they follow- for example, different missions, different army composition restrictions, different scoring systems, etc; where applicable, these changes will be made clear in the individual tournament notes. If you are unsure about anything or have questions, feel free to contact the tournament staff via email or Facebook.
On General Conduct...

All players are expected to behave in a manner that represents our hobby favorably. While the fictional Warhammer 40K universe may be harsh and unrelenting, we do not wish the same to be true of our events. We ask that all attendees behave in a respectful manner towards each other and avoid the use of discriminatory language. Violations of this policy will result in a warning, game loss, or ejection from the event at the discretion of the tournament organizers and depending on the severity of infraction.

In the case of rules disputes, please attempt to resolve the issue with your opponent and consult the exact wording of the rules in question as well as any relevant FAQs; should this fail to solve the problem, you can call one of the tournament organizers over to issue a ruling on the question. All rulings by the T.O.s are final.
